is a charming and attractive historic town with
its castle, Town Wall Gate, riverside quays, its
bridges over the River Wye, and its racecourse.
Chepstow Castle is the oldest stone building in
Britain, built just after the Norman Conquest.
The Port Wall still surrounds the older part of
the town, with its focal point being the Town
Wall Gate.

| Chepstow, the
gateway to South Wales, is situated in the south
east corner of Monmouthshire close to the Rivers
Wye Severn with its two M4 and M48 bridge
crossings to England. It is served by Arriva
Trains and by local bus services. The town
has many festivals, such as the Two Rivers Folk
Festival, for locals and visitors alike served by
a range of cafes, bars and restaurants.
